Exchange Studies University Partnerships

Osnabrück University maintains partnerships with numerous universities worldwide, both on university and department level. Student exchange agreements provide exchange places for Osnabrück students worldwide.

In general, a distinction is made between subject-independent contractual partnerships at university level and contractual partnerships at departmental level. The International Office is responsible for handling student exchanges at university level. Further information on the partner universities can be found on the websites of the respective universities.

You can find an overview of the current exchange places in the  Exchange programs database by filtering "International Office (Hochschulebene)" under "Fachbereich".

Advantages: First, you apply directly to the International Office. If your application is successful, you generally pay no tuition fees at the partner university and only pay reduced tuition fees in exceptional cases!

Place allocation

Please note that the right of final admission remains with the respective host university. There is no legal entitlement to be offered a place or to be admitted to a particular subject or at a particular level of study.

Selection criteria

If the number of applications exceeds the number of available exchange places or "paid places", a selection committee will decide whether to accept the applications. In particular, the following criteria are considered: academic qualifications of the applicants, the respective study plans as well as preparation, feasibility, and language skills.
