DAAD Award

Every year, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) awards a prize to international students enrolled at Osnabrück University and who stand out for their academic excellence and outstanding social and intercultural achievements in society. The DAAD prize is endowed with €1,000.

Award of the DAAD Prize

The DAAD prize is presented every year as part of the Germany Scholarship Award Ceremony in Osnabrück Castle. The next award ceremony is taking place on November 20, 2025. In 2024, the prize was awarded to the Chilean Master’s student Mariana Paulina Castillo Hermosilla in recognition of her outstanding academic achievements and her great intercultural commitment. Vice President for Studies and Teaching Prof. Dr. Jochen Oltmer praised the prizewinner as a "highly qualified student with an exciting CV who has an excellent track record and deserves every encouragement and recognition".
