Individual Consultation

ZePrOs offers researchers in qualification phases a target group-oriented information and consultation service. Individual consultations offer the opportunity to discuss issues related to planning and structuring the respective qualification phase, dealing with challenges and conflicts as well as questions of professional orientation, career development and research funding opportunities in a confidential setting.

As part of its individual consultation service, ZePrOs supports Master's students and graduates interested in pursuing a doctorate in making the decision to take up a doctorate and in entering the doctoral phase.

ZePrOs provides information on the framework conditions for a doctorate and options for financing it as well as offers that support doctoral candidates in starting their doctorate and actively shaping the doctoral phase.

Moreover, consultations on finalizing exposés for scholarship applications are offered. The most important tips for writing an exposé can also be found in a handout (only available in German).  Wie schreibe ich ein wissenschaftliches Exposé? (PDF, 508 kB).

Individual consultation at ZePrOs is confidential. You can make an appointment by telephone or e-mail.

For the target group of postdoctoral researchers, ZePrOs offers transferable consultation and guidance from entry to the advanced postdoc phase.

We are happy to provide information about qualification paths in science and requirements on the path to a professorship as well as to give new postdocs an overview of networking opportunities, training opportunities and tools for individual career planning ("career talks"). In addition to consultation sessions that focus on providing information, postdocs will also find a space to reflect on current challenges in the work context and support in finding individual solutions and in decision-making processes. In a phase of professional (re)orientation, we offer support in making decisions and reflecting on professional options within and outside academia. This includes identifying the need for further training, particularly with regard to the ZePrO's offerings. The ZePrOs is also a point of contact for postdocs in the event of conflicts in the work and research context.

Individual consultation is confidential. You can arrange a consultation appointment (in person or digitally) at any time by e-mail or telephone.
