Your Study Start: OSKA+ program
First semester mentoring
Are you worried that your studies will be too much for you? Were you unable to attend Orientation Week or only part of it? Are you new to Osnabrück or the first in your family to go to university? For all these questions, you will be assigned a personal contact – an OSKA.
How you can benefit:
- Direct contact with experienced students in your subjects
- Get to know other first-year students
- Tips on living in Osnabrück to help you settle in more quickly
- Support in organizing your studies, e.g. in creating your timetable
- Relieving uncertainties and fears by sharing experiences
Our OSKAs are experienced students who will guide you through your first semester with events and activities. They are on hand to answer any questions you may have to help you find your way through the university.
How do you organize the mentoring relationship with your OSKA?
- You have questions about your studies and your everyday life at university
- You have the feeling that you still have uncertainties and would like support
- You would like to have regular exchanges and meetings in a small group
- You are interested in getting to know your fellow students, the university and the city
