Application information for international students

Osnabrück University offers prospective international students a wide range of degree programs. For a successful application to Osnabrück University, please proceed as follows:

Were you already enrolled at Osnabrück University?

If you are already studying at Osnabrück University - even as part of an exchange or short-term study program - or have already studied at Osnabrück University in the past, please switch back to the  Application, admission and enrollment page and be redirected from there.

Do you have German citizenship, a German Abitur or are you already studying in Germany or at Osnabrück University or have you already completed a degree program in Germany? Then always apply via the  application portal of Osnabrück University. Students with a DAAD scholarship can also apply via the university's application portal.

Depending on the degree program, you will have to meet different entrance requirements. In general, you need a certificate that entitles you to study at a university. You must also provide proof of language skills. For some degree programs, you must meet further specific access requirements, such as proof of artistic aptitude.

Bachelor's degree

The choice is yours: would you like to concentrate entirely on one subject with the Single-Subject Bachelor or are you interested in the dual-subject Bachelor?

Master

Would you like to add a specialized Master's degree to your Bachelor's degree?

Aim Teacher Education (Bachelor & Master)

Your aim is Teacher Education? Depending on the type of school you wish to study, you will study a specific combination of Bachelor's and Master's degree.

Aim First State Examination in Law

Are you interested in studying law? Then you can find information about the First State Examination in Law with a diploma degree here. The subsequent legal clerkship ends with the Second State Examination in Law.

Our continuing education programs "Psychological Psychotherapist" and "Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist" provide additional academic or professional qualifications.

Anpassungslehrgang

The  Anpassungslehrgang could be suitable for you if you have already completed a teacher training course outside Germany and now want to work in your profession in Lower Saxony.

Short-term study as a freemover

If you plan to spend only part of your studies in Osnabrück, you can apply for a  short-term study program as a freemover.

Preparatory course (Studienkolleg)

Your certificate does not directly entitle you to study in Germany?  Attending a preparatory course (Studienkolleg) gives you the opportunity to study in Germany in the future.
