UOS international

Based in the City of Peace, connected to the world: for Osnabrück University, internationalization is as much a responsibility as it is a mission and a goal. As a result, we offer innovative and attractive  International degree courses and a global cooperation network. We also set international standards in research, for example in  Special research programs at the Center for Cellular Nanoanalytics Osnabrück (CellNanOs) or at the Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS) or through our Japan research group. As part of influential networks such as the  International Network of Universities or  Scholars@Risk and through the  Costa Rica Center, which is unique in Germany, we promote diversity, exchange and innovation – in Osnabrück and around the world.

Governance of internationalization

Data and sources of information on internationalization

Sound decisions require reliable data. For this purpose, University members have access to the in-house  Monitoring of Internationalization. The  HSI Monitor* which was developed as a joint project by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH), the German Research Foundation (DFG), and the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK), can also provide valuable insights into the UOS profile data. Alongside DAAD’s regular publication  "Wissenschaft weltoffen", which provides facts and figures on the international orientation of of study and research in Germany as well as globally, these tools support departments, the administration, and the university management in developing profound strategies and managing international activities in a target-oriented manner.

* If you are interested in accessing the data collected for Osnabrück University separately in the HSI Monitor, please contact   Mr. Benjamins.
