Timetable: What are the Dates?

  • Our application and enrolment procedure for the winter semester 2025/26 starts at the beginning of May 2025. From this point onwards, you can apply for Master's degree programs and Bachelor's degree programs with admission restrictions or enrol directly for Bachelor's degree programs without admission restrictions. But beware, there are exceptions! It is therefore essential that you observe the  Application and Enrolment Deadlines for your desired degree program!
  • After your application documents have been checked, you will receive notification of admission, exclusion or rejection from our Admissions Office. If you have given your consent, these will be sent to you digitally. Otherwise, you will receive the documents by post. You can then enrol/matriculate.
  • The winter semester starts on October 1, 2025. Before classes begin on October 13, you can already get to know our university and the campus:  Welcome Week for International Students will take place from September 29 to October 3, and the  Introductory Week for first-year students will be held from October 6 to 11!

How does the application and enrollment process work?

1. Note information about the degree program

Once you have decided on a  Course of Study, you should first check whether you meet the necessary  Requirements, e.g. with regard to university entrance qualifications or language skills. You can study at our university not only if you have a high school diploma, there are also other ways to study at university! If nothing stands in the way of your application or enrolment, please find out if there are any  Admission Restrictions for your chosen degree course.

  • If the course is not restricted, you can enrol without applying.
  • If the degree course is subject to admission restrictions, you must apply for the course.
  • Please note: When applying for Master's degree programs - regardless of whether admission is open or restricted - your application must always be reviewed by the relevant selection committee!

2. Application, admission and enrolment

You will find all the necessary information on the procedure and the applicable deadlines on the pages under  Application, Admission and Enrollment. You can submit your documents digitally in our online application portal.

If you are applying for a degree program with restricted admission, you will receive a letter of admission, exclusion or rejection after your documents have been reviewed. If you have given your consent, this will be sent to you digitally. Otherwise, you will receive the documents by post.

If you are admitted, you can then accept the study place in the application portal and enrol (matriculate).

In the event of rejection, you have the option of declaring your participation in a succession procedure that may take place.

3. Start your studies
