Donate a Funding Award
Making the special achievements of young academics visible and recognizing them is an important concern of Osnabrück University. We have been awarding our prestigious Funding Awards every year since 1992, recognizing outstanding students and graduates for their achievements. More than 30 different prizes from regional and national donors are awarded annually for outstanding Doctorate, examination and study achievements in various disciplines.
How can you get involved?
- Costs: As the donor, you can determine the endowment of the Funding Award, the focus and criteria yourself.
- Subject area: You can decide for yourself which subject area or discipline you would like to support and honor with a Funding Award from Osnabrück University that you donate. We will be happy to advise you individually and personally on the Funding Award that suits you best!
- Be part of it: You can join us every year until November, you can find the donation declaration (DOC, 171 kB) form here. You are welcome to contact us personally. Osnabrück University will help you to award your own individual Funding Award without any red tape.
- Visibility: The Funding Awards are presented at a grand ceremony in the presence of the university management and the donors and award winners are honored. At the same time, the popular event offers the opportunity to get to know each other and to network. In addition, your commitment will be honored in a high-quality sponsorship award brochure, in which we introduce the sponsors and the recipients!

Ceremony for the presentation of the Funding Awards : We celebrate you!
Every year, the awarding of the Förde Prizes is honored with a festive ceremony in the Schlossaula. It starts with a "get together" of the founders with their prize winners in the foyer. Afterwards, the founders and prize winners are honored on stage. After the award ceremony, the University President Prof. Dr. Susanne Menzel-Riedl invited to a reception.
