Transfer
Knowledge and technology transfer is a central task of the university and combines scientific expertise with social and economic requirements. Our aim is to transfer research findings into practice, promote innovative solutions and strengthen the exchange between science, business and society. Ongoing transfer activities at the university include
- The expansion of the AI campus and transfer-oriented cooperation with the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI).
- Close cooperation with Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences with the joint Technology Transfer Office (TIM), as a contact point for all university members interested in transfer and start-ups, and the Health Campus
- Cooperation with regional partners from science, business and society, including in the context of endowed professorships, the R-Factory project initiative and the Osnabrück Peace Forum
- Numerous other activities by researchers and students, including those funded by the university's central transfer pool
The Technology Transfer Office (TIM; only in German) is a joint institution of Osnabrück University and Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. It is responsible for knowledge and technology transfer at Osnabrück's universities and thus makes a significant contribution to strengthening the regional economy and innovative power.
The TIM sees itself as a mediator, interpreter and catalyst between science and society. Personal and confidential advice in all matters relating to knowledge and technology transfer is a central concern.
