Germany Semester Ticket for Students
Students at Osnabrück University will be able to take advantage of the "Deutschland-Semesterticket" for the first time from the winter semester 2024/2025, starting on 1 October 2024. The "Deutschland-Semesterticket" replaces the previous semester ticket. The fee for the "Deutschland-Semesterticket" must be paid together with the semester fee for the respective semester. Information on the amount and composition of the semester fee can be found under Costs of Studying.
The ticket can be purchased via Ride.
As it is a solidarity contribution, just like the previous semester ticket, exemption from the fee for the "Deutschland-Semesterticket" is only possible upon timely application and under certain conditions. Therefore, please note:
Application deadline and form
The application for an exemption from the "Deutschland-Semesterticket" (PDF, 156 kB) for a summer semester must be submitted to the Admissions Office by 31 May and for an exemption for a winter semester by 30 November of a year (cut-off deadlines in each case) by email in PDF format.
Important to know
- As long as students are enrolled at Osnabrück University, the digital ticket can be accessed via Ride.
- The Campuscard will then no longer serve as proof of entitlement to travel on public transport. The "Deutschland-Semesterticket" for students must be carried separately in digital form
- The ticket is valid for one semester unless the student's status changes or an application for exemption is made.
- As soon as students are disenrolled, the entitlement and the possibility of accessing the "Deutschland-Semesterticket" expires.
- In the event of disenrollment, reimbursement of the amount paid for the "Deutschland-Semesterticket" - as well as reimbursement of the other semester fees - is only possible upon timely application! The application for de-registration (PDF, 138 kB) must be submitted in PDF format by email to the Admissions Office within one month after lectures have started (§ 19 section 6 sentence 4 NHG).
Further information on the "Deutschland-Semesterticket" can be found at the General Students' Committee.
