Adaptation course for teachers with international qualifications

If you have already completed a teaching degree abroad, you can apply for recognition of your degree. You can only work as a teacher in Lower Saxony if your degree is recognized. The examination of your degree may reveal that you require further academic achievements in order to work in the teaching profession. In this case, you can apply for the adaptation course at Osnabrück University. This enables you to catch up on the required coursework.

If you have not completed your teacher training course abroad, the universities in Lower Saxony are responsible for the recognition of coursework and examinations. In this case, please contact  studentsoffice@uos.de.

General information on Teacher Education in Lower Saxony can be found on the pages  "Becoming a teacher in Lower Saxony".
