Lecturer
What Distinguishes Lecturers?
Lecturers enrich teaching at Osnabrück University with their expertise.
They carry out the tasks assigned to them independently; they organize the courses on their own responsibility in accordance with the specifications in the teaching assignment, taking into account the examination and study regulations as well as the requirements specified by the Organizational Development.
A teaching assignment may be awarded to anyone who has the necessary professional qualifications, pedagogical and didactic skills and personal aptitude for teaching. As a rule, pedagogical and didactic aptitude must be demonstrated by experience in teaching or training. Professional qualifications and pedagogical-didactic aptitude are determined by the institutions in which they are employed.
Courses taught by lecturers are regularly included in teaching evaluations. By accepting the teaching assignment, lecturers declare their willingness to participate in the student evaluation of their course as part of the standard university or departmental teaching evaluations.
