Bachelor of Vocational Education + Master of Vocational Education
Students studying towards a degree in Vocational Teacher Education will first study the six-semester-long degree program Bachelor of Vocational Education. You are required to combine a vocational specialization with a general education subject. Subsequently, you have to take the four-semester-long degree program Master of Vocational Education in the same subjects, for which you must (re)apply. The Master of Education degree is a prerequisite for admission to the period of school-based training called the Referendariat.

Bachelor of Vocational Education in Cooperation with Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences
The German Higher Education Entrance Qualification (Abitur) entitles students to commence a first degree qualification at Osnabrück University. For the vocational subject area, a completed apprenticeship in a relevant training occupation or a subject-related internship is required before starting the course. Details can be found in the admission regulations for your desired subject area.

Master of Education
To apply for the Master's degree program in Vocational Teacher Education, you must have a qualified Bachelor's degree in Vocational Education. In addition, you must provide evidence of practical work experience in the vocational subject area. Further information can be found in the admission regulations for the Master's degree course.
