The Master's degree programme in Computer Science allows students to specialize individually with its very wide range of electives. The course content is both research-oriented and has a strong practical focus and is geared towards the research priorities of the Institute of Computer Science.
The Master's course offers a two-semester research and development project in project groups of eight to ten students. In this project, students not only work intensively on and integrate the relevant computer science content, but also deepen the social skills that are essential in computer science (e.g. cooperation in project teams). The supervision ratio at Osnabrück Computer Science is very good and contact with the teaching staff is therefore very close. The opportunities to work on research topics as part of projects, theses or assistantships are correspondingly high.
Possible fields of activity for graduates are in the information and communication sector, management consultancies, public authorities and public services, banks, insurance companies as well as science and teaching. The professional field of information technology can be described as constantly growing and comparatively crisis-proof.
