Award of the “Deutschlandstipendium” Scholarships

Selected students receive their scholarship certificates in a festive setting, which is sponsored by the federal government, private sponsors, foundations and companies.

Osnabrück University has been participating in the "Deutschlandstipendium" Scholarships program of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research for years in order to support its outstanding students at an early stage and in this way support the training of qualified young talent. The scholarships of 300 euros per month are funded equally by the federal government and private sponsors, foundations or companies. This means that the federal government supports a private donation of 150 euros per month with an additional 150 euros. The number of scholarships awarded depends on the amount of private funds raised.

Funding for the selected scholarship holders begins on October 1 and is limited to one year. Subject to the availability of funds, an extension is possible within the standard period of study; in any case, an application for an extension must be submitted.

Students who are enrolled in undergraduate degree programs or consecutive Master's degree programs at Osnabrück University and who have not exceeded the standard period of study for the degree program are eligible for funding. Scholarships are awarded in accordance with specific guidelines.
