Short vita Prof. Dr. Kai-Uwe Kühnberger
Prof. Dr. Kai-Uwe Kühnberger studied philosophy, mathematics, linguistics and modern German literature at the Universities of Stuttgart and Tübingen from 1990 to 1996. From 1996 to 1997, he was a scholarship holder of the Graduate Support Program of the State of Baden-Württemberg at the University of Tübingen. This was followed by a research stay at Indiana University, Bloomington from 1997 to 1999 and employment as a research assistant from 1999 to 2003, first at the Department of Linguistics at the University of Tübingen and from 2001 at the Institute of Cognitive Science at Osnabrück University.
Kühnberger received his doctorate in General Linguistics / Computational Linguistics from the University of Tübingen in 2002. From 2003 to 2009, he was Junior Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the Institute of Cognitive Science at Osnabrück University and has been Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the same institute since 2009.
From 2016 to 2019, he was Managing Director of the Institute of Cognitive Science and also Dean of the School of Human Sciences in 2019.
From October 1, 2019, Prof. Dr. Kai-Uwe Kühnberger was Vice President for Research and Early Career Development at Osnabrück University. He has been Vice President for Research, Social Dialog and Outreach since October 1, 2022.
