Examinations

Please note the  information on withdrawing from examinations. If you are unable to take an examination for your own health reasons, please use the  form for determining incapacity to take an examination due to illness (PDF, 184 kB). A simple certificate of incapacity for work is not sufficient.

In accordance with Section 14 (3) of the General Examination Regulations for Bachelor's and Master's degree programs, module examinations may be repeated (e.g. joker rule). A  written application to retake an examination (PDF, 78 kB) must be submitted for this purpose. Please note the respective regulations and deadlines!

Compensation for disadvantages is intended to ensure that students with disabilities can complete their studies within the scope of their own possibilities. In principle, you can submit the application informally. For easier communication, we recommend using the  form "Application for compensation for disadvantages" (PDF, 62 kB). The application should be addressed to the Chair of the Examination Board. In it, you should explain why your impairment or disability makes it more difficult for you to complete your studies and/or examinations.
You must submit the application BEFORE the examination, ideally at the beginning of the semester, which makes it easier to organize in good time (e.g. separate room, additional supervision). It is best to submit the application as soon as you know in which subjects you have to take examinations. For multi-subject courses, you must always submit an application for each subject - one application for all subjects is not sufficient. The application must be accompanied by a medical certificate.

As part of the  4Schritte+ program, an internship/study project must be completed in the dual-subject Bachelor. You will need a  registration (PDF, 175 kB) form, which you must have signed by your supervisor and submit to the Examinations Office. After the internship, you can obtain a certificate of successful completion using the  Acquisition of Key Competencies (PDF, 102 kB) form.

To register for a project work/tutoring activity as part of the 4-step module (Professionalization 2-FB), please submit the form  “Registration for project work as a tutor” (PDF, 197 kB) to the Examinations Office.

Registration (PDF, 137 kB) for the subject-related internship/study project in the Bachelor of Mathematics, Bachelor of Computer Science or Master of Mathematics.

If you choose an application subject for which the examination regulations do not contain any explicit specifications, please contact the chair of the relevant  examination board:  Choice of modules in the application subject (PDF, 29 kB)

Study and examination achievements acquired at other universities or in other degree programs can be credited upon application. To do so, you must submit an application to the Examinations Office for the  recognition of (external) achievements (PDF, 154 kB).
