International Office

The International Office is the heart and soul of all international exchange activities at the University. The remit of the International Office is to coordinate international relations, to implement projects with international partners and to continually expand the partner network all around the world. The International Office offers support to students and academics at Osnabrück University who are in the process of planning and preparing periods of study/research abroad. In addition, the International Office advises and takes care of international students, PhD students and visiting scholars.

International Short Term Programs

Application for participation in the International Student Seminar for Global Citizenship and Peace 2025 in Hiroshima with the theme "Nuclear Disarmament and Non-Proliferation" open until March 9, 2025!

Osnabrück University (UOS) has been a member of the International Network of Universities (INU) since April 2023. The network organizes an annual student seminar for students from INU member universities. This year's seminar with the theme "Nuclear Disarmament and Non-Proliferation" will take place from August 1-10, 2025 at Hiroshima University in Japan and offers lectures and interactive seminars as well as a cultural program. UOS can select a total of 2 students for participation in the seminar. Students from all disciplines who are enrolled at UOS and have a good level of English can apply. While there is no course fee, travel and accommodation costs must generally be covered by the students themselves. However, students can apply for a travel grant of EUR 1,000.

For the letter of motivation, please use the template linked above where you can also indicate whether you would like to apply for a travel grant of EUR 1,000.
