Transparency in research
Transferring results of scientific projects into society requires on the one hand an exchange of information and the publication and discussion of research results, whereas on the other hand it also needs to be protected against misuse (“Dual Use”).
Osnabrück University regularly provides information on ongoing third-party funded research projects, taking into account national guidelines. It also welcomes and supports open access to scientific knowledge and offers scientists technical and financial support for open access publications.
Transparency in research and good scientific practice require suitable organization and structuring of research data and, in the sense of optimal use of the research funds, ensuring their long-term readability and usability. Osnabrück University also advises its scientists on this.
